Last night the Red Sox beat the Yankees 7-6 in 10 innings, so each of the games yesterday went into extra innings. Daisuke Matsuzaka allowed 4 runs in 5 innings, with 2 of them earned, he closes his season at 9-6/4.69/133. Eric Patterson (right) won the game for the Sox with a walk-off single in the 10th, he is now .217/6/16, as he was actually a respectable acquisition for the Sox. Felipe Lopez, Lars Anderson, Daniel Nava, Yamaico Navarro, and Kevin Cash each had 1 RBI last night. Today, to close out the season, John Lackey (13-11/4.47/146) and Dustin Moseley (4-3/4.77/30) will be pitching in Fenway. I think the Sox did remarkably well for all their injuries this year.
