Series Preview #6: Red Sox (7-10) @ White Sox (10-8)

Just after the Red Sox' first sweep of the season, they'll be facing another team which they can hopefully beat up on. In my opinion, the most critical game of this series is the first game-- tonight. Felix Doubront (right)(0-0/3.94/20) will go against Phil Humber (1-0/0.63/16)-- who recently threw a perfect game. However, Humber has all the pressure, and Doubront has pitched well this year, so I'm predicting a Red Sox win in a close game. Friday's game will be a little tougher with Daniel Bard (1-2/4.38/13) up against White Sox ace John Danks (2-2/5.11/20). I'd predict a solid White Sox win in this game. In the next game, Red Sox ace Jon Lester (0-2/6.00/16)-- who had struggled this year-- will go against Jake Peavy (3-0/1.88/26)-- who's pitched well this season. I would predict a close Red Sox win in this game. In the final game of the series-- Josh Beckett (2-2/4.56/16) will go against a Red Sox trade target in Gavin Floyd (1-3/3.60/22). I predict another close game and another Red Sox win in this game. Bold Prediction: Red Sox win series 3-1.
