Series Preview #3: Rays (4-2) @ Red Sox (1-5)

It's finally here! 100 years of the beautiful ballpark of Fenway Park-- built in 1912 and tomorrow at 2:05, the first pitch of the 100th anniversary of Fenway will start. Throwing that first pitch will be Josh Beckett (0-1/13.50/3) looking to rebound from a shellacking at the hands of the Tigers against Rays starter David Price (1-0/2.84/5). Price and Beckett have both been good against their opposition but with the Sox bats not quite picking up yet, I'd give the advantage to Tampa Bay. In Saturday's game, Clay Buchholz (0-0/15.75/2) and Jeremy Hellickson (1-0/0.00/4) will square off. In this one, Buchholz's domination of the Rays (4-2/1.81/48) leads me to predict a win in this matchup. In the next game, two rookie starters will get the ball in Felix Doubront (0-0/3.60/6) and Matt Moore (0-0/2.70/4). Now the general consensus is that Moore is going to become a star and I'm not going to disagree with that in my projected loss for the Red Sox. In the final game of this four game set, Daniel Bard (0-0/9.00/6) and James Shields (1-0/5.54/8) will square off in the Patriots' Day matchup. Bold Prediction: Rays win series 3-1.
