Weekly News

This week was not a good one as the Red Sox went 2-4 after today's loss to the Rays. Our Player of the Week is Dustin Pedroia, who had a pretty decent week, going .333/2/6. He is now .297/20/83 this season, as he's been having a great year for the Red Sox. Our Pitcher of the Week is the always wonderful Josh Beckett, who won for his 10th time, by going 1-0/4.50/7 in a win against the Rays. The Performance of the Week belongs to Dustin Pedroia on Tuesday (9/13/11), as he had a great night, going 4-5 with 2 home runs and 5 RBIs in a fantastic game. The Game of the Week goes to Friday (9/16/11), as the Sox played a good game as they beat the Rays (not a typo), 4-3 and came back from a deficit capped by a game-winning homer by Mike Aviles. In the upcoming week, the Sox will play 7 games in 6 days as they play a double-header as part of a 4-game series against the Orioles, then they will play the Yankees for 3.
