Red Sox Oust Marlins (5-2)

Today, Tim Wakefield's flutterball and the Red Sox's big bats came together to crush the Florida Marlins, 9-0. Wakefield (right) threw 3 shutout innings while striking out 1 and allowing 2 hits. The Red Sox scored all of the runs by a combination of mostly rookies. They got two RBIs from Dusty Brown (who started at catcher today) and Gil Velazquez (who more likely than not will get some at-bats). Josh Reddick got an RBI and 2 runs scored and many others got RBIs as well. I was very impressed at the way the Red Sox beat up the Marlins who are actually a good team that went 87-75 last year. The Red Sox are on a 4-game win streak and are 5-2, 3rd place in the Grapefruit League. 'Till next game, Sox.Rox fans!
