Red Sox Beat Tigers In 10 Innings (11-8)
It's about time, Daisuke Matsuzaka (right) finally turned in a good outing for the Sox in a 2-1 win over the Tigers. Matsuzaka pitched a great game, striking out 5 through 5 scoreless innings, he is now 0-1/7.24/9 as he has not been good as a general rule this spring. The win, however, went to Brandon Duckworth who threw a scoreless ninth and tenth inning, he is now 2-0/3.86/2 as he's been pretty good this spring. Jacoby Ellsbury hit his second home run of the spring, going 1-3 with 1 RBI, as he is now .414/2/5. Darnell McDonald hit the winning run home in the 10th, as he is now .269/1/3 this spring. Tomorrow, the Red Sox will send Jon Lester out to face the Braves at 1:05. I'm very happy that the Red Sox won today and even more so that Matsuzaka did well for once!
