Last night, the Red Sox became 2-0 vs the Yankees this spring, defeating them in a 2-1 win. Starter Alfredo Aceves was the only Red Sox pitcher who allowed a run, as he went 3 innings, allowing 1 run and striking out 1, he is now 0-1/3.48/2 this spring. The win, however, went to Bobby Jenks, who threw a scoreless 6th inning, and is now 1-0/0.00/6 this spring, as he's been great. The save went to Rich Hill, who pitched a scoreless eighth and ninth inning, and is now 0-0/0.00/5. One run was scored in the 5th inning on a wild pitch, on which Marco Scutaro scored. The other was on an RBI groundout by Jarrod Saltalamacchia (right), he is now .250/0/1 this spring. Today, at 1:05, the Red Sox will send Daisuke Matsuzaka out to face the Tigers. I'm so glad that the Sox beat the Yankees, and are now 2-0 against them this spring!
