Lester's First Rough Start Gives Braves Edge (11-9)
Today, the Red Sox lost 3-4 to the Braves in a close game decided by a rare rough start by Jon Lester. Lester allowed 3 runs in 4.2 innings, and is now 1-0/2.53/10 this spring. The loss went to Dennys Reyes, who allowed the winning run to score in the bottom of the 7th and is now 1-1/1.80/5 this spring. Marco Scutaro (right) went 1-3 today with a solo home run in the 1st inning, he is now .222/1/3. Jarrod Saltalamacchia (.263/0/2) went 1-3 with an RBI, while Josh Reddick (.200/2/7) went 1-1 with an RBI. Jon Lester was named as the Red Sox' 2011 Opening Day starter today. Tomorrow, John Lackey will come out to face the Mets at 1:05. I'm unhappy that the Red Sox lost, but it wasn't a bad loss, and it was televised!
