Weekly News

Today, the Sox beat the Royals 8-1, thus giving them a series tie at 2-2. Adding that to their sweep of the Rays, the Sox had a 5-2 week and are now 29-23 on the season, plus the Rays lost again, putting the Sox 5.5 games back and in 4th place. David Ortiz (right) is our Player of the Week with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs, as he is now .272/11/31 on the season. Adrian Beltre had 2 homers and 8 RBIs as he had a good week as well, and at .335/5/34 he has been a fantastic acquisition. Jon Lester had 2 great performances over the course of the week, allowing 1 run in 13 innings when put together. He is a very good 6-2/2.97/77 as he has been good in all 3 of those categories. Clay Buchholz (7-3/2.73/47) also allowed 1 run in 13 innings over the course of the week. At 29-23, the Red Sox are on a roll and I hope they can continue that (after an off-day on Monday) against the A's in Fenway and the Orioles in Camden Yards.

Anything You Can Do, Buchholz Can Do Better! (28-23)

Coming off an embarassing 5-12 defeat to the Royals, the Sox responded with their ace... not Jon Lester, not Josh Beckett, not John Lackey, but Clay Buchholz (right)!!! He threw 7 shutout innings in a 1-0 win over the Royals, and he is now a remarkable 7-3/2.73/47, those are very good stats. They scored their one run on an RBI groundout by Mike Lowell, he is now .239/1/10. Adrian Beltre had a pretty bad game, he left 5 runners on base in a 1-3 game, he has been amazing at .342/5/42 as that batting average stands at 4th in the AL. Today, at 1:35, Jon Lester (5-2/3.15/72) toes the rubber against Bruce Chen (1-0/2.89/9). The Red Sox are coming off of a win and last year, they rocked Bruce Chen for 3 runs and 6 hits in 3 innings.

Wakefield Pounded in Loss (27-23)

The Red Sox got pounded by the Royals last night, by an embarrassing score of 5-12. Tim Wakefield (right) was awful, giving up 9 runs in 3.2 innings, he is now 1-3/5.68/25. Victor Martinez had a very good game, going 2-4 with 4 RBIs, but he wasn't enough. He is now .262/7/24 as he has gotten much better. The other RBI belonged to David Ortiz, who is now .262/10/28. Tonight, Clay Buchholz (6-3/3.07/43) goes against Zack Greinke (1-5/3.57/51). The Red Sox can't lose a series to the Royals!

You Say Goodbye I Say Hello (To DL)

6 games after being taken off the DL, Jacoby Ellsbury (right) is back on it again. It's another rib injury; this is the first and last time I'll say this but... stupid Adrian Beltre, ruining our left fielder's ribs. Then again, Jacoby Ellsbury (.250/0/3) has been worse than Jeremy Hermida (.222/4/25) and Darnell McDonald (.270/3/13). Ellsbury saw a thoracic specialist earlier today. He only played in 3 games after his last stint on the DL, going 1-14 with 2 RBIs. The good thing is that Mike Cameron is back, he is .237/0/0 on the season and since coming back has gone 2-8 since his return. It looks like we'll be seeing some Hermida.

Dice-K's Walks Too Much in Loss (27-22)

Really? The Red Sox sweep the best team in baseball and then go and lose the the Kansas City Royals! Last night, the Sox fell by a score of 3-4, as a tough 5th inning cost the game. Diasuke Matsuzaka (right) only allowed 2 hits, but he walked 8 and only went 4.2 innings, he is now 3-2/5.77/25. Bill Hall had a home run over the monster, he is now .194/4/9. Adrian Beltre (.339/5/34) and Jason Varitek (.271/6/11) each had 1 RBI in this game. Tim Wakefield (1-2/4.44/24) and Kyle Davies (3-3/4.53/37) start tonight in Fenway park. I hope the Sox can win tonight!

Beltre's Big Game Helps Sox Sweep Rays (27-21)

Last night, the Sox beat the Rays 11-3, giving them a sweep of the best team in baseball. Adrian Beltre (right) had a monster game, with 2 homers and 6 RBI in a 4-5 game, he is now a very good .341/5/33... and they signed this guy for his glove! John Lackey earned the win with a nice start, allowing 2 runs in 6.1 innings, he is now 5-3/4.84/35). David Ortiz hit a 2-run homer, he is now .266/10/27. Darnell McDonald (.270/3/13) had 2 RBIs and Jeremy Hermida (.230/4/25) had 1 RBI. Tonight, Daisuke Matsuzaka (3-1/5.76/24) pitches, remember his last start, against Brian Bannister (3-3/4.73/31) as they face the Royals in Fenway. Let's hope the Sox can continue this momentum!

Lester Cruises, Red Sox Win 4th Straight (26-21)

Yesterday was definitely a pitching game, the Sox won 2-0 and what a game. Jon Lester (right) allowed 1 hit through 6 innings, striking out 9, yet for some obscure reason they took him out after 6 innings! He is now a very good 5-2/3.15/72 as he has been extremely good after April, he is 5-0 with a 1.64 ERA in his last 5 starts. David Ortiz got the key hit, a 2-run double to the left-center gap in the 3rd inning, he is now .258/9/25 as he has really improved in May, he has 8 homers in May! Mike Cameron was back in the lineup last night, and in his first at-bat since April 18, he hit one... high and deep to left field... and robbed of a home run by Carl Crawford. Tonight's pitching matchup is John Lackey (4-3/5.07/34) vs Matt Garza (5-2/2.37/54) as I hope Lackey can pull it together. Has anyone got a broom?

Buchholz Does His Part in Win (25-21)

The Red Sox had gotten swept by the Rays in a 4-game series at home earlier this season and the Rays stood with a best record in baseball. But the Red Sox invaded the Rays' home ballpark and beat them 6-1! Clay Buchholz (right) was masterful, allowing 1 run over 6 innings, striking out 8. He is now a very good 6-3/3.07/43 as he is their best pitcher without a doubt. The Red Sox hit 2 home runs, one by David Ortiz (.256/9/23) and another by Kevin Youkilis (.321/10/29) as they are both on rolls. Dustin Pedroia had a 3-5 day, scoring a run; he is now .270/8/25 as he has been having a tough time of late. Tonight, Jon Lester (4-2/3.47/63) goes up against James Shields (5-1/3.08/66) as it should be a good pitching game. I hope the Sox can advance some games against the Rays in this series.

Weekly News

Today, the Red Sox beat the Phillies 8-3, and are now 24-21 on the year. They had a 5-2 week this week, tying the Yankees 1-1, sweeping the Twins 2-0, and beating the Phillies 2-1. Kevin Youkilis (right) is our Player of the Week, he had 4 home runs and 10 RBIs over the course of the week and is now .322/9/27 on the season as he is doing quite well, batting .390 in May! Jacoby Ellsbury is finally back in the lineup, he went 1-5 with 2 RBIs today, along with a great catch in center field. Adrian Beltre is coming strong, he is now .325/3/26 as he has been fantastic. Tim Wakefield (1-2/4.44/24) and Daisuke Matsuzaka (3-1/5.76/24) each threw 8 shutout innings on back-to-back days. Next week the Sox play the Tampa Bay Rays in a 3-game series in Tampa, then they go back to Fenway and play the Royals in a 4-game series, they need a day off sooner or later. The Red Sox are looking good at 3 games above .500, I'm loving it!

Dice-K Nearly Unhittable in Win (23-21)

Last night was an amazing night for the Red Sox in a 5-0 win. Daisuke Matsuzaka (right) threw 7.2 innings... without any hits! But then Juan Castro singled, although that was the only Phillies hit on the night. Matsuzaka is now 3-1/5.76/24. Adrian Beltre had a fantastic hit, a 2-run double that capped a 2-4 night for him, he is now a very respectable .321/3/24. J.D. Drew (.272/6/28), David Ortiz (.248/8/22), and Jeremy Hermida (.232/4/23) each had 1 RBI. And guess what? Jacoby Ellsbury was back in the leadoff spot in the lineup, he went 0-4 with a walk, but he scored a run! To top off the night, old friend Jason Bay had a great game against the Yankees and the Yanks lost. Tonight, Tim Wakefield (0-2/5.31/23) pitches against Roy Halladay (6-2/1.64/58) as the Sox will need to hit and Wakefield will need to throw a gem!

Martinez Continues Streak... In Loss (22-21)

Yesterday, the Red Sox had a tough intro into interleague play as they lost 1-5 to the Phillies. The Sox scored their first and only run on a solo blast by Victor Martinez in the first inning, he is breaking out of his slump at .255/6/20. John Lackey (right) allowed 4 runs in 5 innings, he is now 4-3/5.07/33. Adrian Beltre and Darnell McDonald got the other 2 hits for the Sox, they both went 1-3. Dustin Pedroia went 0-4 but made some nice defensive plays at second base. Tonight, Daisuke Matsuzaka (2-1/7.89/19) toes the rubber against Kyle Kendrick (2-1/5.24/20) as they are not such a good matchup. The Red Sox are 22-21 and need to get better!

Lester Goes the Distance in Win (22-20)

Last night, the Red Sox took out the brooms and swept the quick 2-game series against the Twins with a 6-2 win. Jon Lester had a great performance, throwing a complete game, allowing 2 runs, 6 hits, and 9 strikeouts. He is now a very good 4-2/3.47/63. The Red Sox hit 2 home runs in this game; one by Adrian Beltre (.316/3/22) as he was signed for his fielding but it has been his bat that has come through. The other home run was by Kevin Youkilis (right) who had a fantastic game, with a 3-run homer and an RBI double in a 2-4 day, he is now .324/8/26. Tonight, John Lackey (4-2/4.86/31) goes against Cole Hamels (4-2/4.29/52) as they play interleague for the first time. The Red Sox are on a roll and I hope they can continue that off the Phillies.

Buchholz Continues 2010 Dominance (21-20)

The Red Sox edged the Twins by a score of 3-2 last night. They won because Clay Bchholz (right) just kept dominating hitters, allowing 2 runs in 8 innings, he is now a very good 5-3/3.26/35 as he has been the ace of the Red Sox staff this year. Davd Ortiz powered the Red Sox with a 2-run homer in the 4th inning, he is now .248/8/21 as he has caught up to Dustin Pedroia in home runs this year as they tie for the team lead. The other run came on an RBI single by Bill Hall (which was a nice hit). Daniel Bard came through and got the save for the Red Sox, his first save of the season. Tonight, Jon Lester (3-2/3.91/54) goes against Francisco Liriano (4-2/2.63/46). I hope this is as good a game as last night!

Red Sox Rally, Beat Yankees (20-20)

Once again, the Red Sox had a 0-5 deficit to the Yankees, and once again, they came back. But unlike the last game, they won this one by a score of 7-6. Kevin Youkilis (right) was the star of the show, going 2-3 with 3 RBIs to help the Sox toward the win. Jeremy Hermida went 1-1 pinch-hitting for J.D. Drew, he hit the go-ahead 2-run double, he is now .227/4/22. David Ortiz had an awesome hit, almost a home run, but it ended up an RBI double to deep right-center. Josh Beckett was not sharp, allowing 5 runs (3 earned) in 4.2 innings, before going out with an apparent injury. Tonight, the Red Sox will play the Twins, Clay Buchholz (4-3/3.46/28) starts against Scott Baker (4-3/4.93/43). This was a great game, now let's have another!

Yankees Walk-Off vs Papelbon (19-20)

Just when I thought that the Red Sox were above .500 for good, they are back below again. The Red Sox hit 5 home runs, and led 9-7 going into the 9th inning, but Jonathan Papelbon was terrible, allowing 4 runs. He is now a very unimpressive 1-3/3.32 with 9 saves, this was actually his first blown save of the season but he has been quite unimpressive in my mind. The Red Sox home runs came from David Ortiz (right) (.235/7/18), J.D. Drew (.280/6/26), Victor Martinez, who had 2 (.234/5/19), and Kevin Youkilis (.311/6/19) so they definitely hit. Daisuke Matsuzaka had an awful start, allowing 5 runs in the 1st inning, and finishing with 7 runs in 4.2 innings, he is now 2-1/7.89/19). I can't believe they lost, they better win tonight!

Ellsbury On the Road to Recovery

Today, Jacoby Ellsbury played his first game since he went down on April 11 with a hairline fracture in his ribs. He played for the Pawtucket Red Sox, playing against the Syracuse Chiefs in McCoy Stadium, going 1-3, including getting hit by a pitch. He had a single and advanced from 1st to 3rd base, so it looks like he can still run! Mike Cameron is also close to recovery. This is really great for the Red Sox because they have had to be playing Jeremy Hermida, Darnell McDonald, and Jonathan Van Every, none of whom are great outfielders. I'm so happy about this!!!

Weekly News

Today, the Red Sox lost 1-5 to the Tigers, and losing the series 1-2, givng them a 3-3 week as they are 19-19. David Ortiz (right) is our Player of the Week, he had 2 home runs and 7 RBIs, he is now .224/6/17 as he is definitely breaking out of his slump. The Red Sox had some nice pitching performances over the course of the week, by Jon Lester (3-2/3.91/54), John Lackey (4-2/4.86/31), Tim Wakefield (0-2/5.63/23), and Clay Buchholz (4-3/3.46/28) as I have been pleasantly surprised by Buchholz this year. Dustin Pedroia ended a 9-game homerless drought on Friday, he is a remarkable .289/8/25. Next week, the Sox have a difficult week as they face the Yankees in Yankee Stadium for 2 games, go back to Fenway to face the Twins for 2 games, and head to Philadelphia to start some interleague play. 19-19 is... just bad this late in the season. They need to have a good week against good competition, then I rest.

Red Sox End Streak at Comerica (19-18)

Last night, the Sox had a sort of depressing loss to the Tigers, they were ahead 6-1 but ended up losing 6-7. Jon Lester pitched a good game, striking out 10 and allowing 4 runs over 7 innings, he is now 3-2/3.91/54. J.D. Drew (right) stroked a 2-run double in a 1-4 game, he is now .282/5/23 as his numbers have really improved. David Ortiz is really breaking out of his slump, he went 3-6 with 2 RBIs as he is now .232/6/17 as his numbers also have improved. What really impressed me, though, was Bill Hall who smacked a 2-run homer to left field, he is now .235/3/7. Today, at 1:35, John Lackey (4-1/4.60/27) starts against Armando Gallaraga (who is yet to make a start). The Red Sox should be able to win this game and series for a 4-2 week.

Big Papi and Buchholz Nail Tigers (19-17)

Last night, the Red Sox basically smacked the Yankees in the face. The Yankees just lost a 4-game series 1-3 against the Tigers, but the Sox came in and beat the Tigers 7-2. David Ortiz (right) hit 2 homers, including a 450 foot blast to center field, he is now .213/6/15 as he is much better than he was last year at this time. Dustin Pedroia also had a nice game, including a 2-run shot in the 1st inning, he is now .297/8/25 as he has been arguably the best second baseman in baseball this year. Clay Buchholz was also masterful, allowing 1 run in 6.1 innings of work, he is now 4-3/3.46/28 as he has been the ace of the staff. But another ace of the staff, Jon Lester (3-2/3.71/44) goes up against Dontrelle Willis (1-1/3.99/21) as it looks to be a good game. The Sox have momentum!

Too Little, Too Late For Red Sox (18-17)

Today, the Sox woke up in the 9th inning, scoring 2 runs, but they still lost 2-3. Tim Wakefield (right) had a nice start, allowing 3 runs in 7 innings, he is now 0-2/5.63/23 after returning to the rotation. J.D. Drew and Adrian Beltre each had 9th inning RBIs, but it was not enough for a sweep of the Blue Jays. David Ortiz went 2-4, but got ejected from the game after arguing with the ump (rightfully!). Terry Francona also got ejected from the game. The Red Sox are 18-17, we have a winning record, but it is not enough. On Thursday, we play the Tigers, who have been quite good this year. Dice-K Dominates, Red Sox Win (18-16)

Last night, Daisuke Matsuzaka and the Red Sox dominated the Blue Jays by a score of 6-1. Daisuke Matsuzaka allowing 1 hit over 7 innings, striking out 9, he is now 2-1/6.35/16 as after his first start, he has been pretty good. Jason Varitek nailed a solo homer in the 2nd inning, Varitek has also started the season well, he is .342/6/10 this season. Darnell McDonald continues his strong stand in place of Mike Cameron, he went 1-4 with an RBI double. J.D. Drew continues his hot streak, he went 2-4 with an RBI, he has popped his stats up to .286/5/20 as he has been quite good. Today, at 1:35, Tim Wakefield (0-1/6.03/18) toes the rubber against Shaun Marcum (1-1/3.19/36). I hope they can sweep the Blue Jays!!!

Red Sox Win on Walks (17-16)

The Red Sox won a very sloppy game yesterday by a score of 7-6. John Lackey (right) was not sharp, allowing 6 runs in 6 innings, but he was good enough for a win as he has been quite good this year at 4-1/4.60/27. The Red Sox scored most of their runs on walks, as Blue Jays' starter, Brandon Morrow walked 4 in the 2nd inning. Dustin Pedroia had 2 RBIs in a 2-4 game, Victor Martinez had a nice game, going 1-5 with 3 RBIs. David Ortiz looks to be breaking out of his slump, as he had an RBI in a 1-5 game. Jonathan Van Every impressed in a 2-3 game, but he will have to go down to Pawtucket soon. Mike Cameron started at DH for the PawSox yesterday, but I don't know where Ellsbury is. By the way, the Yankees and Rays both lost, so at 17-16, the Red Sox are 5.5 games back. Tonight, Daisuke Matsuzaka (1-1/9.90/7) pitches against Dana Eveland (3-1/3.82/16). The Sox have a winning record, let's pad it!

The Red Sox won by a score of 9-3 last night, giving them a 5-2 week, which puts them at 16-16 and 6.5 games behind the Rays. Adrian Beltre (right) is our Player of the Week after a week that he hit 2 homers and 9 RBIs, he is now .333/2/19 as he has been quite good this year. Victor Martinez was close to winning the Player of the Week as he had 2 homers and 7 RBIs, he is now .252/3/14. Jeremy Hermida is simply awesome, he has 19 RBIs, but 17 of them have been with 2 outs. Plus, Hermida is a bench player and is only starting because Jacoby Ellsbury is out (he should return soon)Last week, the Sox swept the Angels in 4 games which was awesome to see, then they lost a series 1-2 to the Yankees. Next week, the Red Sox play the Blue Jays in a 3-game series, have an off day on Thursday, and go to Comerica Park to play the Tigers.

Red Sox Creamed by Yankees (15-16)

The Red Sox were absolutely dominated by the Yankees today, losing 3-14. Darnell McDonald and Victor Martinez (right) each homered in the 4th inning, but they scored their only runs in the 4th inning. Clay Buchholz allowed 6 runs over 5 innings, before the Sox got delayed by rain, that's when the Yankees started scoring. Jonathan Van Every, for the second time in his career, pitched for the Sox in the 9th inning, he allowed 2 runs in that inning. The Red Sox need to pick up the pace, I don't want them to get swept by the Yankees, do you know how much my friends will annoy me at school?! Tomorrow, Jon Lester (2-2/3.93/37) pitches against A.J. Burnett (4-0/1.99/28) at 8:10 pm EST on ESPN.

Kill The Yankees Now! (15-15)

The Red Sox lost miserably yesterday, by a score of 3-10 as it was definitely heartbreaking. Josh Becket (right) allowed 0 runs and struck out 7 over 3.1 innings, but then Nick Swisher had a blast and he ended up with 9 runs over 5.1, he is the Red Sox ace, yet he is the worst starting pitcher on the team. David Ortiz may be breaking out of his slump, he had a nice RBI single. Adrian Beltre's power is heating up as he has been having ncie power strokes, including an RBI single last night. J.D. Drew has also been great on his recent trend, he has won 2 Player of the Weeks in a row and shows no signs of faltering. The Red Sox better play a good game today at 3:10 pm EST on Fox.

Red Sox Come Back, Sweep Angels (15-14)

Last night, the Red Sox came back from an 0-4 deficit to win 11-6 and sweep the Angels. Now listen to this, this is the first winning record the Sox have had (15-14) since they won Opening Day (1-0), isn't that terrible? But I'll take it. Daisuke Matsuzaka had a very good game after the 1st inning, other than 4 runs in the first, Daisuke allowed only 2 hits after that. Dice-K is now 1-1/9.90/7 to begin the season. Victor Martinez (right) had a great game, hitting a 2-run homer and a game-tying 2-run double, he is now .252/2/12 as he has had 2 really good games this year, other than that, he has been so-so. Jeremy Hermida also 3 RBI in 3 at-bats after pinch-hitting for Darnell McDonald. I am very excited to see the Sox continue their 4-game winning streak vs the Yankees!!!!

Lackey Cruises vs Old Club (14-14)

The Red Sox beat the Angels, 3-1 last night, but there was a bigger story. John Lackey (right) faced his former club for the first time in his life, he was an Angels from 2002-2009. But, he showed no signs of anything but power as he dominated the Angels with 7 innings of 1-run baseball, as he is now a quite good at 3-1/3.89/21. The Sox had two home runs, 1 from David Ortiz, his 4th of the year, and Adrian Beltre had a blast, his 2nd. Adrian Beltre also had an RBI single, he is now a very good .340/2/15 as, though they signed him mostly for defense, he has come through with the bat! Tonight, Daisuke Matsuzaka (0-1/11.57/4) will go against Scott Kazmir (2-1/5.57/19). The Red Sox will be going for a sweep tonight, it would be fantastic if they got one!

Key 8th Inning Wins Game (13-14)

Yesterday the Red Sox rode a key 4-run 8th inning to a 5-1 victory over the Angels. Jon Lester threw a gem, allowing 1 run through 8 innings, he is now 2-2/3.93/37 as he has really turned a tough start into being a solid pitcher. Jeremy Hermida (right) got the key hit, a 3-run, bases-loaded double off the Green Monster in the bottom of the 8th, he is now .255/3/13 as he (in my opinion) is the best backup outfielder in baseball. Mike Lowell (double) and Victor Martinez (single) each had RBI hits as well, but Hermida's was the standout. Tonight should be an interesting game as long-time Angel John Lackey faces the Angels. This year, Lackey is a respectable 2-1/4.50/17. The Sox will face Joel Pineiro (2-3/5.76/16). The Red Sox have a modest 2-game win streak that they look to improve tonight.

Red Sox Blow Out Angels (12-14)

Last night, the Red Sox dominated the Angels by a score of 17-8 as they got 20 hits as well in this game. They hit 4 home runs by Adrian Beltre (1), Bill Hall (1), Dustin Pedroia (7), and Kevin Youkilis (5) as the Sox really powered out the Angels. Bill Hall really broke out of a slump with a blast, he is now .250/1/3 but before this game he was batting only .214/0/1! Adrian Beltre broke out of a homerless streak, in Spring Training and the regular season, but he got one last night, he is now .333/1/13 as he has been very good other than the homer category. Pedroia has been amazing this year, he is now .288/7/21. Kevin Youkilis crushed a bomb, he is now .289/5/15. I hope the Sox can hit like they did last night!

Weekly News

This week the Red Sox went 3-3, and are now 11-14 on the season. They swept the Blue Jays and then (embarrassingly) got swept by the Orioles. J.D. Drew (right) was Player of the Week with 2 home runs and 5 RBIs, he is now .190/5/14 so far as this is his 2nd Player of the Week. Their record of 11-14 is embarrassing! They need to get better, but their schedule doesn't get any easier as they face the 12-14 Angels and 16-8 Yankees in a 4 and 3 game series. Josh Beckett threw a nice game today, allowing 2 runs over 7 innings, although the Orioles still walked off for the second time in the series. They had better do well next week because this blog is not fun when they are constantly losing! Tomorrow, Clay Buchholz will pitch for the Sox and he has been the best pitcher on their team this year. We look forward to a good week next week, do you hear that, Francona?

Red Sox Lose Despite Long Balls (11-13)

This is awful, I can't stand having a losing record this late in the season. There were 9 home runs in this game, but the Sox still lost 9-12. David Ortiz hit 2 home runs, he now has 3 on the year, all of them against the Orioles. Jonathan Van Every knocked a homer as well, he also made a great catch in center field. Daisuke Matsuzaka had a rough start, he allowed 7 runs in 4.2 innings, he is now 0-1/11.57/2 to start off the season. Kevin Youkilis also hit a home run, he has been pretty good this year. Tonight, Josh Beckett (1-0/7.22/20) and Kevin Millwood (0-3/3.38/28). They better win... or else!

Red Sox Lose a Tough One (11-12)

Last night the Sox lost on a walk-off win by the Orioles, by a score of 4-5. John Lackey (right) allowed 3 runs in 7 innings, he is now 2-1/4.50/19 as he has been pretty good this year. J.D. Drew had a very good game as he homered twice, he is now .197/4/12 as he is heating up this year. Dustin Pedroia had a homer and an RBI single. He has been simply amazing this year, he is .302/6/18 as he truly has been great. Adrian Beltre had 3 hits in a 3-5 game for him. Tonight should be exciting, Daisuke Matsuzaka makes his first start tonight, he has been good in his rehab starts. The Red Sox played a good game, but it's the beginning of May and they have a losing record. 11-12 is not very good, but they should start getting hot soon as they are 7-3 in their last 10 games.
