For his 6th time of this season, David ortiz has won the Player of the Week award, and has tied Jason Bay for 1st place! Last week he had 4 Hrs, and 11 RBIs and led the Sox to a 4-2 week with a sweep of Toronto and a 1-2 series against the Yanks. Last night was one of the greatest nights of my life as I went to see the Red Sox play the White Sox at Fenway Park. The Sox won 12-8, and my favorite play of the game was, in the 3rd inning, Mike Lowell hit a 3-run jack over the monster onto Lansdowne Street to give the Sox a 7-4 lead. Later in the game, Drew hit a solo shot to make it 10-7 and spark a 3-run 7th for the Sox. The White Sox also got 2 homers, Gordon Beckham hit a 22-run shot over the monster, and paul Konerko hit a 3-run over the monster, it was so fun! Yanks and Rangers play tonight so a win-win situation for the Sox!Tuesday, August 25, 2009

What a game -- And what a place to see a game! I agree that Lowell'slammer was the turning point of the game, and the White Sox never came back from it, though they did well enough to keep the game interesting. Hope we get to see many mroe there!
