Last night, the Red Sox beat the Sox of the other color 6-3, in this game, Jacoby Ellsbury beat the single-season steals record for the Sox, with 55, also leading the AL! He had a fantastic game last night, going 3-5 with a double and an RBI. That RBI was the 6th run in the Sox' rallying 3-run eighth, starting with a homer by Jason Bay. Other good news, the Rangers beat the Yankees putting them 6 games back in the AL East at 72-53, the 4th best record in MLB. The Rangers came back from a 4-run defecit in their game and hung on to beat the Yanks 10-9. Jacoby Ellsbury, this year's line is .298, 6, 45! Also yesterday, the Red Sox acquired reliever, Billy Wagner from the Mets, he is coming off of Tommy John surgery, but he has had two good outings with the Mets since, he will be a set-up man for the Sox. Last few games have been exciting. Nice to see some consistent offense. Ellsbury is having a very nice season. His numbers are very close to what I thoughty they would be and he will only get better over time. (EXCELLENT DEFENSE ALSO!!).Wagner should add a solid lefty out of the pen! It's time to put up!
