Weekly News

Why should I even keep this up, Bay is Player of the Week for his 5th time. Yet again, he led the Sox to a good week as they went 5-1 this week with a 3-0 sweep over the Yankees and a 2-1 series win over the Phillies. They are currently 38-25 and have a 2 game lead in the AL East over New York. This week, Bay finished this week with 1 HR and 6 RBI. Bay leads the AL in RBIs and the Red Sox have the best record in the AL. Unless the Sox have a terrible week next week, they have 40 wins. A few injuries are also finishing up and the Sox are looking on where to put Smoltz and Lowrie is very close! Go Red Sox! They face the Marlins for a 3-game series then stay in Boston and face Atlanta. My prediction for next week is a 4-2.

  1. It is no surprise to see that Bay has grabbed the "Player of the Week" title once again! He and The Sox have had another great week.

  2. How about the pitcher of the week or month?? Lester is 2-0 (3 ER in last 3 games-22 innings)34 strikeouts!! should have been 3-0! He's Back and is about to go on a great run like he did last year . Smoltz will add not only a great arm to the rotation but great leadership such as schilling did in 2004. Look for a very strong starting rotation in the second half. Oh yeah and they did sweep the Yanks like I said.
