Papi--Slump Over?

Yesterday the Red Sox went on the destroy the Yankees 7-0 and are now 6-0 against them. One of the biggest hits of the night however, was "Big Papi" David Ortiz's 3rd HR of the season. It was a 2-run shot to center, the first hit of the night, and a big one as it made the score 2-0 Sox in the 2nd. They went on to have a 4-run inning, as J.D. Drew hit a 2-run double off of the monster. Josh Beckett went on to lead the team in wins-loss ratio, as he is now 7-2, Wakefield is 7-3, Penny is 5-2, Matsuzaka is 1-4, and Lester is 5-5. Big Papi is now hitting .198 with 3 Hrs, and 24 RBIs. His 7-game hitting streak is a sign that the slump may be gone. Watch the Sox on ESPN Wednesday Night Baseball and 7:10 ET.

  3. Ortiz got another homerun . I think his confidence is slowly coming back. We really need a big bat in the lineup.
I think we might see a SWEEP!!!!
