Series Preview #9: Red Sox (11-16) @ Royals (9-18)
After a rough week for the Sox in which they went 1-5, they will look to right their fortunes against an equally struggling team in the Kansas City Royals-- who stand at 9-18. The first game of the series tomorrow night will feature Felix Doubront (right) (1-1/5.19/30) against the Royals' biggest offseason acquisition: Jonathan Sanchez (1-1/5.24/15). This is a game that should be close and could go either way but I feel that the Red Sox' superior offense can pull this one out. Tuesday's edition of baseball will show Daniel Bard (2-2/4.38/20) squaring off against Danny Duffy (2-2/3.57/26). Duffy has pitched well this year, but the Sox roughed him up last year and once again, I feel that the Red Sox' offense can pull off a close win. The next game shouldn't be so close with Jon Lester (1-2/4.62/25) going up against Bruce Chen (0-4/4.98/22). I feel that the Sox should be able to win this game and I don't really see a reason why they shouldn't be able to sweep this series. Bold Prediction: Red Sox sweep series 3-0.
