Jon Lester (top right) was fantastic, allowing 2 hits and a run over 8 great innings, earning the win, as he is now 9-2/3.73/87, as he's been a big winner this year. Michael Bowden pitched a scoreless inning of relief behind Lester. Jacoby Ellsbury did just what he's supposed out of the leadoff role, going 2-5 and scoring 3 runs. Dustin Pedroia only went 1-4, but he scored 2 runs and drove in 2 on the home run, as he is now .262/5/28. Adrian Gonzalez went 2-4, scoring 2 runs, and driving in 2, including a solo home run as he is now .341/13/60. Kevin Youkilis (left) had a great game, going 3-4 with 3 runs scored and 4 RBIs, including a 2-run homer, as he is now .264/9/42. David Ortiz also had a great game, going 2-6 with 2 runs scored and 4 RBIs including a 3-run homer, as he is now .325/17/43. Jarrod Saltalamacchia went 3-4 with an RBI in a good day. Marco Scutaro also had a good day, going 2-4 with a run scored and an RBI in a good day. After an off day tomorrow, the Sox will head down to Tampa Bay and will send Tim Wakefield (3-1/4.84/23) against James Shields (5-4/2.85/93) and the Rays.
