Red Sox Completely Shut Down In 6th Inning (12-13)
Today, the Red Sox lost 3-10 to the Cardinals in a game where the Cardinals scored 10 runs in the 6th inning, and then they were done. Daisuke Matsuzaka (right) pitched very well through the first 5 innings, before allowing 2 earned runs in the 6th inning, he was tagged with the loss and is now 0-2/6.05/13 this spring. Dennys Reyes and Rich Hill were the only REd Sox pitcher to not allow a run, pitching a scoreless inning each. Nate Spears went 1-1 with a 2-run single, as he is now .295/0/7 this spring. Jorge Jimenez had an RBI walk with the bases loaded as well, he is now 1.000/0/2 this spring. Tomorrow the Sox will send Jon Lester out to face the Phillies on ESPN at 1:05. This was a very depressing loss for the Red Sox and because of it they have dipped below .500 to 12-13 this spring amidst this 4-game losing streak.
