Today, the Red Sox lost 1-4 to the Phillies in a definite pitching game led by a largely good start by Jon Lester (right). Lester didn't even allow a hit until the fifth inning, but the Phillies had scored off Lester in the 3rd and went on to score 3 more times in the 6th inning. Lester wound up allowing 3 earned runs through 5.1 innings, he is now 1-1/3.38/16 this spring. Matt Albers pitched 1.2 scoreless innings and Dan Wheeler pitched 1 scoreless inning following Lester. The Red Sox sole RBI came from Drew Sutton, who is having an excellent spring and is now .318/2/6. Tomorrow, John Lackey will head out to face the Rays at 7:05 ET. This 5-game losing streak is starting to depress me and they had better turn it around tomorrow night.
