Turns out, I do get internet where I am, so I am able to make the post for today's game. But first off, yesterday, the Red Sox split their squad to face the Marlins and Orioles. The Marlins crushed them 2-11 while the Orioles tied them 4-4 (it's Spring Training). Today, the Red Sox lost 5-6 to the Mets in a tough game for them. Their offense was on, as the Sox hit three home runs, by Juan Carlos Linares (.333/1/3), Tim Federowicz (.333/1/1), and Josh Reddick (.286/2/6). Jon Lester came down with the flu, and therefore Michael Bowden (right) started the game for the Sox. He went 2 innings, allowing 2 runs and earning a no-decision. Lefties Hideki Okajima and Rich Hill did pretty well, combining for 3 shutout innings while Alex Wilson earned the loss, allowing the eventual winning run in the 8th inning. Tomorrow, at 1:05, the Red Sox will face the Orioles with half of their squad. I'm sad that the Sox lost, but I'm glad about the home runs.
