Sox.Rox's 3rd Birthday!

Hey everybody, today is the third anniversary of when I started this blog about the Red Sox. I've really loved this experience of blogging very regularly about something I love and I really love it when you guys read what I wrote (and especially when you comment). However, I've begun to feel that as my writing has improved, the Red Sox have receded-- let's take a look. In 2009: swept in the ALDS, 2010: missed the playoffs, 2011: September happened. However, I certainly hope they come back strong in 2012 and can be a serious contender. Right now I think they are on the outside looking in, but with an Oswalt they could be serious contenders. Anyhow, thanks for reading my blog for 3 whole years and I really appreciate it.

  1. Happy 3rd Birthday Sox.Rox! With the Patriots in the Super Bowl and the Bruins at the top of their division, it's hard to think ahead to baseball, but thanks for keeping us informed...even in the off-season!

  2. Happy Birthday to Sox.Rox!! Of the two important trends that you have pointed out - your writing improving and the Sox declining - the former is far more important to your future...one hopes...so keep it up!

  5. Happy Bday Sox Rocker! I'm definitely looking forward to watching baseball again. I agree that your writing has improved. But I also agree that we'll have a little more happiness in RS Nation if they have a better year this time around. Keep up the good work.

  6. Happy Birthday #3 Sox.Rox,
    from Cardinal Nation.

Though it pains me to cheer for anything Red Sox related...I make this singular exception. Your dedication to your favorite team is proof positive of your love of baseball, and that's something I can easily root for. Good luck in 2012, I hope the Redbirds play and beat you guys in late October - even without Albert What'shisname.

p.s. Punto's defensive is plus plus, but at the plate - not so much. Be prepared for some Punto bat slams after swinging strike threes. We'll both see new (but familiar) faces in manager's uniforms this year. Valentine...hmm....will they be selling Groucho masks at Fenway this year?
