Last week, the Sox had a pretty awful week, going 1-6 and losing much ground in the AL East and Wild Card. However, Marco Scutaro had one of the best weeks of any Red Sox player this season, going .464/1/11, as he is now batting .287/6/46 this season. Jon Lester will be our Pitcher of the Week, as he was 1-1/3.72/13 in two starts this week. He is having a great season, and is now a very impressive 15-7/3.07/169. The Performance of the Week came on Tuesday (9/6/11), as Marco Scutaro had himself a heck of a day, going 4-5 with 4 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Finally, the Game of the Week is, for only the 2nd time this year, a loss. On Monday (9/5/11), the Red Sox lost 1-0 to the Blue Jays in 11 innings. Even though they lost, I must say, it was a really fun one to watch! Next week, the Sox will play the Blue Jays for 2 and then the Rays for 4 after yesterday's off day.
