Weekly News

Today, the Red Sox lost to the Rangers 11-4 in a game I didn't really feel like blogging, and concluded a rough 2-4 week that leaves them at 84-55 on the season. Our Player of the Week is Dustin Pedroia, who batted at .250/1/6 this week and is now .307/18/77 on the season, as he is having a great year. Our Pitcher of the Week is Jon Lester, who threw very well against the Yankees in a 4-2 loss, allowing 1 run in 5 innings, as he is now 14-6/3.05/156 on the season, as he has been great all year. The Performance of the Week belongs to Carl Crawford yesterday (9/3/11), as he went 2-4 with a double, two runs scored, and a grand slam. The Game of the Week was on Wednesday (8/31/11) as the Sox played a roller coaster game against the Yankees, eventually winning 9-5. Tomorrow, the Sox will head out of the country to Toronto to take on the Blue Jays for a 4-game series and then they will head down to Florida to take on the Rays for 3 games.
