Red Sox Held To One Hit By Phillies (2-3)
Today, the Red Sox lost 0-2 to the Phillies, and only were able to muster one hit. This hit was off the bat of Mike Cameron, who went 1-2 today, and is now .500/0/0 this spring. Stolmy Pimentel was tagged with the loss for the Red Sox, allowing 2 runs in 2 innings, but the bright spot of the game was the fantastic work by the bullpen. Bobby Jenks (right) made his spring debut, tossing a shutout inning; new acquisitions Dan Wheeler and Andrew Miller also threw a scoreless inning each. Jason Rice, Rich Hill, Michael Bowden, and Blake Maxwell also threw a scoreless inning each as the bullpen was excellent. I'm sad that the Sox lost, but I am incredibly impressed by their bullpen and how it has improved from last year.

I'm feeling food about the pitching for this season. Nice to see these guys warming up!
