Bats Come To Life Against Marlins (9-7)

Today, the Red Sox played the Marlins and beat them dominantly, by a score of 9-2. Jacoby Ellsbury (right) had a great game, going 3-3 with 2 doubles, a home run, and 3 RBIs, he is now .440/1/4 this spring. Today was also Adrian Gonzalez's much-anticipated debut, in which he went 1-1 with an RBI single. Dustin Pedroia, Daniel Nava, Mike Cameron, Paul Hoover, and Michael Almanzar each had 1 RBI in today's game. John lackey allowed 1 run and struck out 3 through 4.1 innings, earning the win, as he is now 1-0/1.74/4 this spring. Randy Williams threw 1.2 shutout innings out of the bullpen, and Bobby Jenks, Matt Fox, and Blake Maxwell each threw one inning, Fox being the only one who allowed a run. Tomorrow, the Sox will send Josh Beckett out to face the Pirates at 1:05. I'm happy the Sox won, but more than anything, I'm happy Adrian Gonzalez made his debut!
