Youkilis's Late Game Heroics Win Game in 11 (52-39)
Last night the Red Sox beat the Rangers 3-2 in 11 innings thanks to some clutch hits by Kevin Youkilis (right left). Youkilis hit a game-tying double with 2 outs in the 9th inning and a walk-off sac fly in a 2-4 day, he is now .297/18/59. David Ortiz (right right) had the other RBI that the Sox had, as he went 1-4 and is now .260/18/58 as he is doing so much better than in 2009 and 2008. John Lackey hpitched a good game, allowing 2 runs in 7 innings, he is now 9-5/4.65/71. Today, Jon Lester (11-3/2.78/124) and C.J. Wilson (7-5/3.35/82) as the Sox will be looking to tie up the series. This is my last post before I go to camp, you will see a triple-weekly news as my next post, bye fans!

ReplyDeleteHope you're having a good summer. I made it to my third Sox game of the year on Wednesday - this time in Anaheim (aka Fenway West). Although it was warm and the players took BP underground, we did catch the pitchers playing catch. Lackey and Lester were busting each other up by imitating the other's windup. We were right behind Wake and his knuckle had no spin and insane movement. I got a photo of my oldest (Chelsea) and Buchholz. If you want to see it, check my wife's blog: http://trtlpwr.blogspot.com/
Because our girls were hot and tired, we only saw the first half of the game (missed the grand slam) but it was great to see the boys again.
Time for the team to take it to the next level. Go SOX.
