Red Sox Lead Off Spring Training with a Win
You may be wondering why I have so many posts already in this month- well, I am going to try a new approach this year, I am going to try to make a post for every game, and that includes Spring Training. The outcome for the Red Sox' first Spring Training game against an actual MLB team was... a 2-1 win over the Minnesota Twins. The Twins scored one run in the first inning but did not score again. In the 6th inning, Dustin Pedroia hit an RBI single up the middle and in the 8th inning Mark Wagner (right) hit the game-winning RBI in a pinch-hit performance. I expect Mark Wagner to be making his MLB debut this year probably, Dusty Brown may get some playing time too. Man- it feels so good to be blogging about a baseball game!

It's a historic day in both a good and a more ambiguous way. First, the Sox are back in business and playing ball - can't wait to see them play again!
ReplyDeleteSecond, it appears that Sox.Rox now has a big enough presence on the internet that you are being targeted by comments-spammers (see most recent comment on this post) . . .
Congratulations . . . (?)
