Red Sox Destroy Orioles (14-14)
Today the Sox utterly overran the Orioles, beating them by a crushing score of 14-6, making them now 14-14. Victor Martinez (right) went 3-5 and had 6 RBI and 2 home runs in an awesome day at the plate for him, he is now .319/3/13 in a fairly good spring for him. Jon Lester was dominant, going 7 strong innings, allowing 1 run in the process. New acquisitions Scott Schoenweis and Alan Embree got a chance in the 8th and 9th, closing out this game in solid fashion. New acquisition, Kevin Frandsen had a grand slam in a 1-2 day for him. With the Sox, he is now .429/1/6 as I look forward to seeing some of him in the regular season. This was really a great game because the Red Sox flat out dominated the Orioles which is refreshing as it has been a tough spring for them.

The Birdsox game is always a tough one for me since I like both teams. Nice to see some of the Sox's young guys performing -- looking forward to seeing some of them make their debut in the big show this season!
