Sox Win--Break Losing Skid

Last night, the Red Sox beat the Orioles, 3-1, breaking a 5-game losing skid. Brad Penny won, and became 7-4, he got his first win in his last 6 games. His ERA is a high but respectable 4.71. In this game the Orioles scored first to make 1-0, then Varitek got an RBI single, and Lowrie had a Sac Fly. Then, the Sox scored once more and coasted to a victory with kind of a rough ninth. The Orioles had the bases loaded with one out but they got it of it successfully. Unfortunately the Yankees also beat the A's 8-3, so the Sox are 56-39 and 2.5 games behind the Yankees. I am sorry again, I have to go to camp for two weeks, but after that I should have my blog back in full business. I will have to do a Triple Player of the Week so who wins that, gets a big lead and 3 trophies.

  1. What a heart-breaker losing last night. Bucholz should have another W. Will the Sox make any deals before the deadline? Have fun at camp .
